OVER 99 YEARS OF SUCCESS
In 1924, The Industrial Supply Company was founded by W.W. “Duke” Haldeman. Through his vision and that of William R. Langford and John E. “Jack” Homme, the company added products and expanded into different markets (becoming Haldeman-Langford in 1940). By the mid-1950s, W.R. Langford retired and Duke Haldeman and Jack Homme renamed the company to Haldeman-Homme.

HALDEMAN-HOMME MANUFACTURING COMPANY
After 30+ years in business, Duke Haldeman retired, and the manufacturing part of the business, Haldeman-Homme Manufacturing Company, was sold to Palmer Hamilton of Hamilton Manufacturing Company in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. To this day, Palmer Hamilton Company remains our trusted partner for supplying high-quality cafeteria and bench tables for schools, libraries, medical facilities, and other spaces across the hospitality industry.

EXPANDING IN MINNESOTA
In 1966, we built a 14,000-square-foot facility on two acres in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to serve our growing sales and service staff with additional warehouse stocking space. 40+ years later, our facility is still standing strong today with over 50+ employees at our corporate headquarters and a warehouse for storing products and materials — allowing us to cut down on lead times and avoid logistical issues so projects can run smoothly.

ACQUIRING ANDERSON LADD
By 1967, we acquired the Anderson Ladd Corporation, a leading supplier of commercial and residential hardwood and athletic flooring in the US. Anderson-Ladd Corporation began operating as a subsidiary division of Haldeman-Homme, offering gym floor installation, athletic equipment, and maintenance for flooring, bleachers, scoreboards, and all types of athletic equipment.

EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN
In 1997, our profit-sharing plan was converted to an employee stock ownership plan. To this day, we believe one of our greatest assets is our people's strength. EXPANDING FOOTPRINT ACROSS THE COUNTRY
By 2009, we not only expanded our footprint across the Midwest – with office locations in Chicago, Des Moines, and Omaha. But we also sustainably grew our academic capabilities and expanded operations in the south and west, with offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Denver, and Salt Lake City and distribution across Arkansas, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.

IDEA AND ACADEMIC SPECIALTIES
After further expanding our capabilities and acquiring Performance Installation in 2011, we also acquired Iowa Direct Equipment and Academic Specialties in 2012 to provide more specialized athletic equipment service and support throughout the Midwest and Texas. This acquisition allowed us to offer and service everything from bleachers and auditorium seating to athletic flooring, athletic equipment, scoreboards, and lockers.

MERGER WITH HICKS ASHBY
In 2014, we merged with Hicks-Ashby to offer engineering, project management, and additional cost savings to clients – including everything from school library supplies (such as custom shelving, millwork, seating, and tables) to customizable athletic products like school gym bleachers and lockers.

STRATEGIC CALIFORNIA ACQUISITIONS
In 2019, we had two important acquisitions in the West. First, Dow Diversified Inc. joined as an industry expert in the design and installation of laboratory casework and equipment – allowing us to expand our laboratory solutions in California and Arizona. Meanwhile, our acquisition of Paton Group enabled us to focus on education technology in design, prototyping, advanced manufacturing, and fabrication across CA, NV, and HI institutions. After multiple acquisitions and a corporate restructure, Haldeman-Homme became H2I Group.

ACQUIRING NEXLAB DESIGN
In 2020, we acquired NexLab Design, a full-service laboratory casework and equipment dealer founded by Chris O’Neal. This acquisition allowed NexLab Design customers to benefit from nationwide support for their solution-based products and services and us to gain an experienced team of laboratory specialists with a deep passion and understanding of the educational, healthcare, research, and institutional marketplace.

RPE LASER & KNIGHT ATHLETICS
In 2021, RPE Laser was acquired so H2I Group could offer unique printing solutions, precision engraving, and highly innovative UV LED technology. We also acquired Knight Athletics, Inc., based in Pittsburgh, which allowed us to grow deeper relationships and broader construction and installation services for athletics and auditorium facilities across the greater Ohio Valley.
