ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Design/Create/Innovate (DCI) Lab at Chapman University, developed in collaboration with Paton Group, now known as H2I Group, is a state-of-the-art makerspace designed to foster interdisciplinary learning and innovation among students, staff, and faculty. This space serves as a melting pot of creativity, offering a wide range of equipment and resources to support the entire process of bringing ideas to life.
The DCI Lab is divided into two main areas: the Prototyping Lab, focusing on additive manufacturing, and the Manufacturing Lab, which specializes in subtractive manufacturing. Through the contribution of H2I Group/Paton Group, the DCI Lab boasts equipment from leading brands such as Universal Laser, Wazer, Tormach, Stratasys, Formlabs, Ultimaker, Makerbot, and Roland, making it a hub of cutting-edge technology and creative exploration.
