ABOUT THE PROJECT
Uplift Community High School’s Innovation Lab in Chicago is a space where students go to learn and create. H2I Group helped navigate which technologies worked best for their space and education needs. H2I Group provided 3D printers, printers & cutters, and laser engravers, that equip students with fundamental technological skills needed for success in college and their future careers.
Uplift’s STEAM program provides up-to-date technology and teaching methods to integrate both STEM and arts into the classroom. The program allows students the opportunity to earn college credits up to an associate’s degree while still in high school.
The makerspace is a highlight of the school and a sanctuary for learning. Students can even be found in the space after school working together on projects and exploring new ways to use the technology.
“H2I Group was a big help when we began selecting equipment for our Innovation Lab and Makerspace at Uplift Community High School. They helped us choose the right brands and models of 3D printers, vinyl and laser cutters to fit our needs. It can be a bit overwhelming if you do not know where to start but H2I Group asked us questions about things we would not have considered on our own. Our labs and makerspace are a highlight in our building now and we love that someone is always making something! ” – TJ Pavlov, Early College STEAM Specialist
