ABOUT THE PROJECT
H2I Group, in collaboration with JP Cullen, recently completed The UW Madison Bakke Recreation and Wellbeing Center. This expansive 270,000 square foot facility, built in response to student feedback, replaced the old UW Natatorium.
H2I Group outfitted the facility with 56,000 sq ft of Robbins Eclipse Maple Gym Flooring, 15,000 sq ft of which is stained maple gym flooring. Additionally 1,800 sq ft of reclaimed white oak flooring was installed by H2I Group. These surfaces not only provide a top-quality experience for various athletic activities but also create an attractive environment that reflects the center’s dynamic spirit. The facility’s thoughtful design also incorporates dedicated spaces for agility training, with 4,500 square feet of indoor turf and 6,800 square feet of outdoor turf installed by H2I Group.
This blend of carefully curated materials and cutting-edge design in the UW Madison Bakke Recreation and Wellbeing Center fosters a vibrant, inviting atmosphere that encourages students to engage in a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
