ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Interdisciplinary Science Building houses multiple science disciplines in one facility for LSU’s College of Science. The program combines instructional laboratories, research laboratories, shared instrumentation areas, laboratory support spaces, and faculty research suites, and lets departments share specialized equipment rather than duplicating it across the college. The building includes wet and dry laboratories, teaching laboratories, preparation and equipment rooms, laboratory support spaces, and shared analytical areas. Infrastructure was planned for flexibility, so spaces can be reconfigured as research programs and technologies change.
H2I Group furnished and installed laboratory casework, chemical-resistant work surfaces, fume hoods, fixtures, and specialty equipment. The work was coordinated with the architect, laboratory planner, engineers, and construction team so each lab met its users’ operational requirements while staying consistent across the facility. The completed laboratories support biological sciences, chemistry, geology and geophysics, physics, and interdisciplinary research.

How Much Is a Turf Field? Cost Guide
If you are planning a new athletic facility or replacing an aging field, one of your first questions may be, “How much is a turf field?” A full-sized synthetic sports field can cost about $700,000 to $2.5 million, but that broad range is only a starting point. Field size, site conditions, drainage, turf quality, labor, and added equipment all shape the final price.
