ABOUT THE PROJECT

The University of Colorado’s new Aerospace Engineering Building, conceived and constructed in Boulder, Colorado, represents a significant advancement for the university’s engineering program. As a new four-story, 146,000 sq. ft. structure, the building is designed to support a wide range of activities, including rocket engine testing, specialized classroom instruction, and practical learning in machine shops and laboratories. H2I Group played a pivotal role from the project’s inception, providing expertise in lab planning and budgeting to create a specialized environment conducive to cutting-edge aerospace education. Their success in designing a complex, custom lab bench for the facility’s Pilot Lab, following the achievements of their previous CU – Engineering project, underscored their ability to deliver tailored solutions. The completed project, marked by the seamless integration of classrooms, labs, and testing facilities across a sprawling four-story building, has earned acclaim from the university and partners alike for its sophisticated design and functionality.
