ABOUT THE PROJECT
H2I Group was selected by Kaneka for the comprehensive renovation of their Technical Laboratory building located in Pasadena, Texas, marking a significant step in enhancing their North American R&D and QC production facilities. Kaneka, a leader in chemical, polymer, and pharmaceutical products, required a turnkey contractor with a robust portfolio in laboratory construction, prioritizing safety, experience, and innovative solutions. H2I Group met these needs by offering a full spectrum of services, including design assistance, furnishing, and installation of laboratory furniture, fume hoods, and a comprehensive mechanical and controls package for the laboratory wing. Initially engaged for an HVAC study, the project evolved into a total redesign and outfitting of six specialized laboratory spaces—Analytical, Polymerization, Production, After Treatment, Mixing, and Raw Materials Physical Testing Laboratories.
This extensive renovation not only positions the Kaneka Tech Building as a cutting-edge center for research and development but also serves as a key asset in employee retention and a showcase facility for client walkthroughs, reflecting Kaneka’s commitment to innovation and quality.
