ABOUT THE PROJECT
H2I Group provided and installed laboratory casework, fume hoods, epoxy worksurfaces, and sterilization equipment for the new Virginia Commonwealth University STEM Building in Richmond, VA. Built on the site of the former Franklin Street Gym, the five-story, 100,000+ square foot facility posed the logistical complexities of a dense urban campus and was successfully completed amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The facility now supports a wide range of disciplines—including biology, chemistry, forensic science, and more—offering students and faculty a modern, centralized hub for interdisciplinary research and teaching.
