What Makes Radioisotope Fume Hoods Different?

A radioisotope fume hood must go a step further. In addition to airflow and filtration, these cabinets must be built with lead lining or other radiation-shielding materials to prevent radioactive materials from affecting those in the surrounding area. They also typically feature stainless steel interiors to make decontamination and cleanup easier and more effective.
